Century Stadium 14 and Century East will premiere an international theater production of “War Horse” on Thursday.
The National Theatre of Great Britain’s original stage production was first performed on stage in 2007 and includes music and life-size puppets by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Co.
The PG-13 film will begin at 7 p.m. at both theaters, and run time is 180 min. Read more about the stage-production-screened-in-theaters here.
It’s movie marathon time!
Century Stadium 14 will begin Oscar Movie Week this weekend, where you can catch all nine Academy Award best film nominees in theaters once more before the March 2 awards show.
To purchase tickets, you can either buy them individually for each film, or you can purchase a bundle pass and see them all for $40.

Local theaters will be showing "Romeo & Juliet on Broadway" this weekend.
The critically-acclaimed Broadway revival will be shown at Century East at Dawley Farms and Century Stadium 14 at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
The modern production stars Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad, and run time for the PG-13 film is 135 min.
Well this sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Christmas.
Century Stadium 14 and Century East at Dawley Farm will show “It’s a Wonderful Life” today.
The 1946 holiday classic will begin at 2 and 7 p.m. at both theaters.
Local theaters will show a “Hobbit” double feature on Thursday night.
Beginning at 9 p.m., Century Stadium 14 and Century East at Dawley Farms will show “An Unexpected Journey” and then “The Desolation of Smaug” at midnight.
Tickets for the 3-D double feature are $18 in advance or at the box office.
Discounted concessions are part of the double feature ticket, featuring unlimited free fountain drink and popcorn refills and $2 hot dogs.
Movies being released on DVD today include “Fast & Furious 6” and “Despicable Me 2.”
Even though this was the originally scheduled release date for “Fast & Furious 6,” fans of the franchise will surely appreciate its timing after star Paul Walker’s fatal car accident last week. Universal Pictures also announced that a percentage of DVD sales will be donated to Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
Production for the seventh film of the series was to begin last week but is now officially on hold.
"Despicable Me 2," also on DVD today, features the return of villain Gru (Steve Carell), his adorable girls and the Minions.
Other DVDs out this week are “Battle of the Year,” “The Ultimate Life,” “Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary,” “Muppet Movie Collection” and “Anchorman: Legend of Ron Burgundy Giftset.”
"Anchorman 2" premieres Dec. 18 in theaters.
Sioux Falls’ local theaters will host a “Hunger Games” double feature on Thursday night.
Century Stadium 14 and Century East at Dawley Farms will begin the back-to-back showings at 5:20 p.m. with “Hunger Games” first and then “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15, and discounted concessions include unlimited $1 pop refills, unlimited $2 popcorn refills and Vitamin Water, hot dogs and ice cream snacks for $2.
Both films are rated PG-13 and star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
Local theaters will host a “Thor” movie marathon on Thursday.
Century Stadium 14 and Century East at Dawley Farms will show “Thor,” “The Avengers” and the newest release, “Thor: The Dark World,” beginning at 3:15 p.m. Tickets for the back-to-back showings are $25 at the box office or online.
Total runtime for the marathon is 369 min.
