Sioux Empire Fair announces three free country shows

The Sioux Empire Fair Association announced free shows happening at its 75th annual fair this summer.

Country star Josh Turner (above) will perform Aug. 4, and country singer Randy Houser will play Aug. 7. Parmalee will open.

Josh Turner’s No. 1 hits include “Would You Go With Me,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” “Your Man” and “Time is Love.” His latest album, “Punching Bag,” was released in 2012, when he also released a 12-track album of live concert performances.

Randy Houser’s No. 1 hits include “Goodnight Kiss,” “Runnin’ Out of Moonlight” and “How Country Feels.” Parmalee is well-known for “Carolina” and “Musta Had a Good Time.”

The shows are free with paid admission, and there is no assigned seating. The Pro Rodeo on Aug. 9-10 also will be free inside the Grandstand. The Sioux Empire Fair will run Aug. 1-10, and the theme for its Diamond Jubilee is “Dazzle and Delight.”

More concert announcements are expected soon.
