Food: TGIF! Before the cold gets the best of us, head out to Falls Park tonight, enjoy the holiday lights and have dinner at Falls Overlook Cafe, open 5-9 p.m. The Goodroad Band will perform 7-9 p.m., and beer and wine are available for purchase.
Event: As part of First Friday downtown, a new vintage and modern clothing boutique will host its grand opening tonight. ELOFSON, located at 112 N. Indiana Ave., will open its doors from 6-10 p.m. Guests can browse one-of-a-kind vintage pieces as well as modern clothing and accessories. Inside the shop is also an art studio. Workshop 112 will debut art installations by Reanna Schultz and Klaire Pearson.
Saturday, Jan. 4
Food: Minervas’ new restaurant on 41st Street is now open! The All Day Cafe and Goodnight Bar features an extensive brunch menu, including unique variations of biscuits, omelets, hash, pancakes or huevos rancheros. Even their drinks are fun, including iced coffees, granita blancos or matcha lattes. Heartier brunch items include po-boys, pan salmon, meatloaf or shrimp and grits. Stopping in for dinner? Consider short ribs, chicken and dumplings, skirt steak or red fish. Happy hour is every day from 3-6 p.m., featuring $3 beers, wells and house wines and $5 bites.
Event: The Bensons Flea Market and Antique Show is open this weekend at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. Shop collectibles from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today or 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $2 for adults and free for ages 12 and younger.

Food: Enjoy Sunday Brunch at Bracco from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a full breakfast buffet, and lunch items, too, for $14.95.
Event: As part of Frosty Frolics, Memorial Ice Rink at 26th and Sertoma will host free family events from 1-3 p.m., including a carnival on ice with games and prizes, photo opportunities with Frosty the Snowman and The Sioux Falls Stampede, a visit from the Zoomobile from the Great Plains Zoo, a snow angel contest and free sleigh rides from the McCrossan Boys Ranch. Skate rentals are also free all day.
