Tonight on the Town: Weekend Edition

Friday, Feb. 15
Food: TGIF! Enjoy a healthy lunch or dinner at Tre Lounge this month. Choose from their salads or seafood entrees, like roasted, dijon, lemon or lime salmon, or try their fish or shrimp tacos as an appetizer for $12. Other seafood options include margherita and roasted tilapia or crab and citrus walleye for $22.

Event: Enjoy a Friday night date at the Orpheum Theater. Sioux Empire Community Theatre is currently showing the comedy “No Sex Please, We’re British.” The show begins at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday and will continue next weekend as well. Tickets are $18.

Saturday, Feb. 16
Food: The Outback Steakhouse off Louise Avenue is still serving a Valentine’s Meal for Two through Sunday. Couples can enjoy a bloomin’ onion to share, side salads, two Outback special sirloins and a cheesecake to share.

Event: Still hankering for more Valentine fun? Strap on your dancing shoes and Have a Ball tonight with USA Dance South Dakota. From 7:30-10 p.m., enjoy a chocolate fountain, desserts and dancing at the Historic Knights of Columbus Hall, 315 N. Summit Ave. A tango lesson will begin at 7:30 p.m., and dressy attire is requested. Couples or singles are welcome, and tickets are $15 at the door or $10 for USA Dance members.

Also going on is the Family Fun Festival this afternoon at the Sioux Falls Arena. The fundraiser for Health Connect of S.D. will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include free food, entertainment, prizes and demonstrations.

Sunday, Feb. 17
Food: Head downtown for brunch at Bros Brasserie Americano this weekend. Sunday breakfast is served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes mimosas and pumpkin pancakes.

Event: The 32nd annual Greater Midwest Toy Show is going on now at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel. From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., shop old and new farm toys, trucks, cars and collectibles that are available to buy, sell or trade. Call 277-4161.
