Food: TGIF! The annual Taste of New Orleans menu is back at Grille 26. Through Feb. 24, celebrate Mardi Gras with shrimp and grits, jambalaya, chicken and andouille gumbo or blackened catffish. Start your weekend off with a New Orleans cocktail like sazerac, plantation tea or abita mardi gras bock. Cheers!
Event: Winter blues? Dream of summer fun at the 25th annual Greater Sioux Falls Boat, RV and Camper Outdoor Show at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds this weekend. Hours are 2-8 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The event will include seminars with fishing pro Ted Takasaki at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, dog demos, gun and shooting safety, a visit from zoo animals, Dakota Angler’s ice fishing sales and the Dakota Wild Calendar Girls for 2013. You also will be able to shop boats, pontoons, motors, trailers, golf carts and all-terrain vehicles. Tickets are $5 at the door and free for ages 12 and younger.
Saturday, Jan. 19
Food: Kaladi’s seasonal breakfast menu at 26th and Minnesota includes a southwest breakfast wrap, bistro breakfast panini, spinach fritatta or sweet tooth waffle. Other breakfast options include their scrambles and fritattas, a great start to the weekend!
Event: It’s time to relax, unwind and breathe. Take part in the third annual Sioux Falls Yoga Day, which features free workouts at East Bank Yoga and at the Main Branch Library downtown. At 9 a.m., Jill Moncur will teach a beginners class at East Bank Yoga, and Maria Travers will offer Family Yoga at 10:15 a.m. at the library. Food: The Moose Lodge at 1926 W. Burnside St. will provide biscuits and gravy or french toast for breakfast today. All are welcome to attend from 9 a.m. to noon, and tickets are $5. Call 332-4041.
Event: Dance Gallery will present “Sleeping Beauty” today at the Orpheum Theater downtown. The show will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Call 367-4616.
