Enjoy Irish music and a celebration of great Scottish poetry during Dakota District Pipes & Drums annual Robert Burns Night at McNally’s Irish Pub on 69th & Minnesota. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and include poetry by the famed Scottish poet and lyricist Robert Burns. Music will also be performed by Dakota District Pipes & Drums, professional piper Wes Sheppard and drummer Sean Johnston from Winnipeg, Canada. The event is free, but the pub fills up fast for this event so seating is limited.
Burns is well-known for songs he wrote that celebrated drinking, love, friendship, like the New Year’s Eve classic, “Auld Lang Syne” or “Tam o’Shanter.”
