Event: Let’s go bowling tonight! From 9 p.m. to close ever Friday in October, Sport Bowl on Burnside Street is hosting Bowling for Breast Cancer Awareness, where they will donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds toward breast cancer awareness. Call 336-6063.
Saturday, Oct. 13
Food: Starting this week and continuing through January, enjoy new signature pancakes at IHop! Eenjoy pumpkin pancakes, New York Cheesecake or carrot cake pancakes, all starting at $4.99.
Event: Strawbale Winery near Renner is hosting its annual Harvest Festival ! From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the local winery will celebrate the end of harvest with food, wine, music and games. You also can enjoy discounts on wine for customer appreciation. Everything will take place outdoors, so bundle up! Cost is $5 per car load, and no pets or other food or beverages are welcome. Food: Bring your family to the nearest Hy-Vee for brunch today! From 6 a.m. to noon, enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast for $6.99. Afterward, order the special pumpkin spice mocha at Starbucks!
Event: Bring the pups to Sioux Falls Woofstock at Spencer Park today! From 1-4 p.m., the free dog festival will include a dog costume contest, live DJ, an agility course to showcase your dog’s athletic abilities and a vendor area for local pet businesses. Register for contests from 12:45-1:30 p.m., enjoy games from 1-1:45 p.m., contests from 1:45-2:30 p.m., the parade of dogs from 2:30-3:15 p.m. and awards at 3:30 p.m. Spencer Dog Park is just south of Interstate 229 and Cliff. The event is free, and there will be photos taken throughout the day.
